"Twin Peaks" was one of the greatest TV shows of all time. It featured David Lynch ("Blue Velvet", "Mulholland Drive") at his best.

Then again, if you like straightforward storylines that follow tired formulas, you may have hated "Twin Peaks".

"Fire Walk With Me" is the prequel to "Twin Peaks" and it's getting a special showing in Grand Rapids.

"Twin Peaks" aired for two seasons, from 1990 - 1991. "Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me" was released in 1992.

The film was nominated for the Palme d'Or at Cannes Film Festival, the highest award given. It was also booed when it played at Cannes.

The New York Times said, "It's not the worst movie ever made; it just seems to be."

Clearly, you're either a fan or your not.

Either way, this movie isn't for the faint of heart.

A rare opportunity to see it on the big screen comes July 29 in Grand Rapids.

UICA and Thriller! Chiller! present "Fire Walk With Me" at UICA for one showing on July 29 at 8:00pm. Tickets are $8 for members and $10 for non-members.
