Tulip Time In Holland

One of this nations largest celebrations and festivals is The Tulip Festival in Holland.  It has been for more years that some can remember.

This year, with a cool spring, until now, the tulips have never been better. With this, the closing weekend, it promises to go out with a bang!

Tonight

6:30 p.m. — New Odyssey, Hope College Haworth Inn
7 p.m. — Tulip Doo Wop Show with The Contours, Marvelettes, Diamonds, Central Wesleyan Auditorium ($36)
7 p.m. — Tulipalooza, featuring Rev Theory, Taddy Porter, Shadow Status, Sixth Street Bridge ($15)

Friday

9 a.m. — Trolley tours, Centennial Park
1 p.m. — Town Crier competition, Civic Center
5 p.m. — Street performers, downtown Holland
7 p.m. — B.J. Thomas and Gary Puckett, Central Wesleyan Auditorium ($36)
7 p.m. — Tulipalooza’s Battle of the Bands, Sixth Street Stage ($10 in advance/$12 day of show)
7:30 p.m. — Barbershop Parade of Quartets, Christ Memorial Auditorium

Saturday

9 a.m. — Dutch Heritage Show, Central Wesleyan Auditorium
10 a.m. — Quilt Show, Holland Area Arts Council
11 a.m. — Carnival, Civic Center
2 p.m. — Muziekparade, Eighth Street from Columbia Avenue to
Van Raalte Avenue, south to 24th Street
7 p.m. — Ty Stone and the Soul of James Brown, Thirsty Perch Blues Band, with Battle of the Bands winner, Sixth Street Stage ($10/$12)
