TRAFFIC ALERT: I-96 Now Open Both Directions

After being shut down in various stages and places today, BOTH directions of I-96 are back open east of Grand Rapids and Cascade.

There are still heavy delays eastbound because of ice-covered traffic lanes as well as slide-offs and wrecks, but I-96 is open between GR and Ionia.

Heads up that I-96 Eastbound is CLOSED at M-6.  There was a wreck at Morse Lake Avenue and MSP is routing traffic from the eastbound lanes across a service turnaround and back to the westbound lanes.
