Today is "Giving Tuesday" celebration for the Salvation Army of Kent County. It is very significant today, as the Salvation Army of Kent County announced they have received a $30,00 matching gift.What that means is today, Tuesday, December 2, donations from all sources (online, mail, red kettles, phones, etc.) in Kent County will be matched up to $30,000. That is a huge benefit for all of the programs the Kettle campaign supports.

The Salvation Army’s Grand Rapids Advisory Board created the $30,000 matching gift to boost public donations in support of the 2014 campaign.

This matching gift initiative has been developed to demonstrate a like-minded support of The Salvation Army, its programs and services. All 45 members of the Grand Rapids Advisory Board (including Board Officers) have financially supported this special matching gift initiative.

The public can support The Salvation Army of Kent County’s “Giving Tuesday” and the $30,000 matching gift initiative through a variety of ways.
