It's Flu season again.  Have you gotten your flu shot?  What about the kids?

The Michigan Department of Community Health is trying to boost the state's vaccination rate, especially for young children.  Michigan ranks fifth from the bottom for those 6 months to 4 years, with 51% vaccinated, compared with 64% nationwide.

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention officials are urging "universal" flu vaccination, shots or nasal-spray vaccines, for everyone 6-months and older.

Of course we don't think about flu until the first of the year, but now is the time to do something about it.

Spectrum health's Visiting Nurse Association offers community clinics throughout October and November, along with your doctor and pharmacies.
