Theater for Children Always Great at Circle Theatre
Circle Theatre continues the 2013 season in June with the children’s Magic Circle production of THE MYSTIC TALE OF ALADDIN, running June 27 through 30. This classic tale, adapted by Randy Wyatt, tells the story of seven maidens and their attendants as they wait in the treasure room of the Sultan to hear which of them will be chosen for his bride. They have been there all day. Night is approaching and still there is no sign of the Sultan. The maidens decide to pass the time by telling the mystic tale of Aladdin. Aladdin’s tale comes to life through the maidens and brings with it sorcery, deceit, riches, suspicions, destiny, wishes, and the chance to make dreams come true.
The cast for The Mystic Tale of Aladdin features Lindsey Hansen as the Persian Princess, Marisa Purcey as the Turkish Princess, Liene Strautnieks as the Egyptian Princess, Mareia Macavei, Kristin Ripley, & Brianne Stephen as the Indian Princesses, Katie Glossop as the Moroccan Princess, Mary Ann Heinen as Nursemaid and Cathy Van Lopik as the Attendant to the Vizier.
Performances will be held at the Aquinas College Performing Arts Center. Performances are June 27 through 30. Curtain for performances are Thursday, June 27 at 7:00PM, Friday, June 28 at 10:00AM & 1:00PM, Saturday, June 29 at 10:00AM & 1:00PM, and Sunday, June 30 at 1:00PM.
