The Humane Society's Empty the Shelter Saturday was so successful, that, aside from a few puppies, the shelter is empty!

Andy Rent talked about this on his Andy in the Morning show for Wet Nose Wednesday.

Brooke, from the Humane Society, said that this past Saturday, April 29th, all adult dogs, cats and critters were free, thanks to the Bissell Pet foundation picking up the adoption fee. So, now it's a bit quiet around there because 60 animals were adopted, and that's the best news any shelter can hope for. By the way, Bissell did this for shelters around Michigan, and more than 1500 animals found homes.

However, have no fear, since more adult dogs are arriving this week, transferred from other shelters around the country.

Brooke mentioned Summer camps that begin in June, and the Humane Society of West Michigan has a variety of camps for all age groups available for kids aged 5 - 17.

You can get all the information on the Humane Society website or call (616) 453-8900.
