A week or so ago I posted a blog about Free Prom Dresses.  They had been donated and would be loaned out, free.  With all of the events girls have to attend in High School, the cost of dresses, you can't wear the same one twice, really adds up.

However, there is another way to keep your costs low.  You could make your own.

At Colorado's George Washington High School, junior Regan Kerr began collecting pop can tabs more than two years ago.  Why?  To make a dress, of course.

That, however, was the easy part. Although sewing the dress itself “didn’t take a lot of skill,” it did take five months to create, and incorporating a zipper and collecting colored tabs for the sweetheart neckline proved tricky.  Take a look.

Regan did say in the interview that she didn't actually drink the more than 5,000 cans of pop.

The dance was April 28th and I'm sure she was the queen of the ball, with a lot of "fizz!"
