Have you noticed the price of gas is coming down?  Down, I said, not up!

Saturday, we were headed to our favorite wine store, John Russo's Wine Warehouse at Kalamazoo and 44th...plug, plug,plug...and I saw gas at $3.77.  What did it do?  Pulled right in and gas up, of course.

It's good news for us, and the U.S. economy, that gas prices in the Grand Rapids area have started falling farther away from the $4 per gallon mark.   Some stations are now offering gas as low as $3.75.  Maybe it will go further.

Prices Monday morning ranged from $3.75 at a station in Wyoming to $3.99 at one in northwest Grand Rapids.

The average price of gas in the Grand Rapids area is $3.85, but you will find it cheaper, as I did.

Less than two weeks ago, prices jumped to $4.15 at many Grand Rapids-area station.
