The Family Minute 1/5/14 – Don’t Force Your Dreams On Your Kids
Today’s topic on the Family Minute with Mark Merrill was encouragement to keep from trying to force your dreams on your kids. You’ve seen it before … a parent believes that because they loved something, that their kids would/should love it as much as they did. Or you’ll see that a parent who was great at something will “force” their kid to do it and be genuinely upset when they can’t live up to expectations.
If you struggle with pushing your kids to have the same dreams as you, here are 4 ways to not make your dreams their dreams.
- Don’t Assume.
- Do Ask.
- Don’t Abandon.
- Do Act.
