Today's topic on the Family Minute with Mark Merrill was encouragement to keep from trying to force your dreams on your kids.  You've seen it before ... a parent believes that because they loved something, that their kids would/should love it as much as they did.  Or you'll see that a parent who was great at something will "force" their kid to do it and be genuinely upset when they can't live up to expectations.

Mark says:

If you struggle with pushing your kids to have the same dreams as you, here are 4 ways to not make your dreams their dreams.

  • Don’t Assume.
  • Do Ask.
  • Don’t Abandon.
  • Do Act.
