Hope you weren't a procrastinator on taxes this year.  Yeah, I know.  Wishful thinking.

Just a heads up that most USPS locations in Michigan will NOT be extending their hours on tax day.  So if you were hoping to have a little extra time to get it in the box and postmarked, you need to work a little faster!

Areas NOT extending their hours are zip codes from 48800 to 49100 and 49300 to 49800.

The USPS number is 800-275-8777 if you want to get more info on when post offices will be open tomorrow.

You can also hit USPS.COM where they have helpful tips for getting the return mailed in time.  They suggest things like double-checking addresses and making sure any checks are signed; if you have a stick-on label, the IRS strongly encourages you to use that instead of hand writing your mailing label.

Also, make sure you have enough postage on the package!  The first OUNCE is generally about 4 letter-sized sheets.  Anything over 1oz, you'll need to add 20 cents for each additional ounce.
