Last night in Grand Rapids was a wonderful evening filled with love and excitement as more that 1,000 people gathered at Celebration Cinema North to celebrate!  They were celebrating an event that happened in 1989, resulting in a book, a movie, and, more importantly, success for some very special, special-needs people...

.  For as long as I lived in Grand Rapids Toys For Tots and Catherine Behrendt are synonymous.   They go together, as Forrest Gump would say, like "peas and carrots."  There's no better feeling than giving!  There just isn't!  I know we all live such busy lives but sometimes it's just so good to get outside of yourself, and get outside of your own little world especially for a child... /

When I first read the headline on WZZM 13 I thought to myself, "Okay, the mom is probably overreacting to something."  What could be so upsetting about Christmas song lyrics?   Well, once I got into the story a bit more I now happen to agree with her...

It was nice to see long time Grand Rapids journalist, Suzanne Geha back on the Grand Rapids television airwaves again!  It appears that she did this special project for her former competitor WZZM13.  How nice to hear your thoughts since you have been a part of the Ford family coverage for years...

Heavy storms swept through the region yesterday afternoon, bringing with it large hail in several areas. WZZM 13 reported last night that thousands of people were left without power. According to Consumers Energy, 19,800 residents are without power state wide, with Kent county accounting for about 5,700 of those reports. Power is scheduled to be restored sometime today, but crews have to clear
