Congratulations to our own Dixie Anderson!  She will be in rare company when she accepts a distinguished award this month from the Foreign Policy Association.

The World Affairs Council of Western Michigan is continuing their 3-part series on immigration this coming Monday, evening, April 25 with Bing Goei, Director, State of Michigan Office for New Americans speaking.

At the end of World War II, Korea was divided in two. Today, North and South Korea couldn't be further apart. Concerns over North Korea's supposed hydrogen bomb testing has created heightened tensions between North Korea and the world, and has become a hot topic of discussion.

The World Affairs Council of Western Michigan continues their fascinating series on Michigan and it's economic growth this coming Monday, February 8 with Bing Goei.

The World Affairs Council's Great Decisions Global Discussion Series begins tonight, Monday, February 9th. Tonight, at Aquinas College Performing Arts Center, 1607 Robinson Road SE, the topic is What are the Consequences from the Crisis in Ukraine? with Dr. Matthew Rojansky, Director of the Kennan Institute Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars.

Here's exciting news for those of us who live, work, or just visit, downtown Grand Rapids. The World Affairs Council of Western Michigan announced that the organization will begin a day time lecture series on Tuesday, March 5 in Gillette Auditorium in the Fifth Third Bank Building, 111 Lyon Street, NW in downtown Grand Rapids.
