Michigan Veterans, take heart.  At last, a coordinated effort to help Veterans in Michigan.  The Michigan Veterans Affairs Agency, a newly created agency earlier this year, has been established to be a central coordinating point for all of the existing programs out there.

Davenport University and its chapter of the Student Veterans of America (SVA) is celebrating Veteran’s Day on Monday, Nov. 11, 2013 on its W.A. Lettinga Campus in Grand Rapids. The event is free and open to the public.

The City of Kentwood, sponsor of the "Cost of Freedom Tribute", is thrilled that the moving memorial has come to town. The display, with its main feature, an 80% replica of the Vietnam War Memorial Wall in Washington, D.C., was developed by The American Veterans Traveling Tribute, a non-profit organization consisting of veterans.
