It’s been a few months since the world lost Carrie Fisher, and while many would prefer to expand the conversation to her accomplishments outside of the Star Wars universe, plenty of people are anxiously wondering how her death might affect her character in the upcoming Star Wars sequels. For some, this can be viewed as a tacky approach to celebrity, but there’s a sweeter side to things as well. Leia Organa remains an icon for people around the world; finding an appropriate way to say goodbye to her character will be, in essence, the way many Star Wars fans say goodbye to Fisher herself.

This has been a pretty awesome weekend for Bo Valarde-Chan, a 10 year old boy from Kalamazoo. You see, Bo suffers from Microvillus Inclusion Disease which is an extremely rare and life threatening.  Because of his disease, he receives all his nutrition and hydration pumped directly into his heart as his intestines do not function properly...

It’s undeniable that Carrie Fisher was a rare talent — and she’d have to be, to charm the notoriously picky George Lucas with her Star Wars audition. In a recently resurfaced video, originally posted on YouTube in 2006, Fisher sits down to read a scene opposite Harrison Ford (whom Lucas initially didn’t want to cast, but he was so good in the screen tests that Ford became his Han Solo).

Today we mourn the loss of Carrie Fisher: Iconic actor, talented author, brilliant script doctor and, most of all, an incomparable force to be reckoned with. There are so many great adjectives you could use to describe Fisher: Uncompromising, unapologetic, fierce, witty, relatable, real, honest. She took all of those qualities and put them to work in her books — from memoirs to novels, Fisher had a knack for telling poignant and painful stories with wit and wisdom. Writing a worthy obituary for one of the best and boldest women on this planet or any other is surely an impossible task…so it’s a good thing that the perfect obit basically already exists, and unsurprisingly, Fisher came up with it herself.

Terrible news to confirm today, as a beloved icon and Star Wars star’s condition has taken a turn for the worse. Carrie Fisher, actress behind both Princess and General Leia, has passed away at age 60. The revered actress and comedic presence had earlier suffered a heart attack en-route from London to Los Angeles.

In what may turn out to be one more giant hardship for 2016, troubling reports are coming in that Star Wars legend and all-around icon Carrie Fisher may be in critical condition. Fisher reportedly suffered a “massive” heart-attack aboard an airplane, and has been rushed to the hospital.

This is such a sweet video, something all parents should watch. It seems a dad spent all night working on a Darth Vader costume so that he could surprise his two-year-old son in the morning with a special Lord Darth Vader Star Wars wake-up call. So, what happened? You'll have to watch.

One can never have enough LEGO or Star Wars, and it seems Star Wars Rebels may soon have some company on the front of an animated galaxy far, far away. Disney XD and LEGO have joined for a new Star Wars series titled The Freemaker Adventures, following a family of starship builders a long, long time ago.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens been a tremendous success partly due to the popularity of BB-8, although some still favor R2-D2. Lucky for us, BB-8 and R2-D2 are together again in a new buddy sitcom named My Two Droids.

You may not immediately recognize the name Jason Wingreen, but the prolific actor had almost 200 credits to his name, including the original voice of fan-favorite bounty hunter Boba Fett in The Empire Strikes Back. The actor, whose voice was replaced in Lucas’ notorious DVD re-release of the trilogy, has passed away at the age of 95, leaving behind a legacy of roles that extend far beyond that galaxy far, far away.

In the wake of Star Wars: The Force Awakens releasing earlier this month, it seems like everything is getting dubbed into the Star Wars universe, and the match-up pitting Nick Saban against Michigan State's head coach Mark Dantonio was not exempt.
