This is the final weekend for Laughfest and it’s also St. Patrick’s Day on Sunday. There are a lot of sport related events, we have a Neuroscience Fair and classes about plumbing! We also go back to music from the 90’s for a couple different events.
By now we should all be using Uber, Lyft or friends to get home after celebrating, but here it is in case you need it, more of a reason not to drink and drive this weekend.
Laughfest wraps up this weekend. It is also St. Patrick’s Day on Saturday. There is hockey and basketball, fishing and boating. On stage it’s Peter and the Wolf, Pink and more! Plus a free day at the museum.
This year, St. Patrick's Day falls on a Friday during Lent. This has thousands of Catholics in West Michigan asking, "Is it okay to eat corned beef on St. Patrick's Day even though it's a Friday during Lent?"
Wallethub does a lot of studies on cities and they always have Grand Rapids scored well in their results, which we love. They've done another study on the best cities for celebrating St. Patrick's Day, and guess what? We're in the top 20! Because we're awesome!

The new owners of a small bar in Conklin, Michigan are bringing back a St. Patrick's Day tradition that began in 1988.

The pub is well-known for it's St. Patrick's Day parade. It's also known for hosting authentic Irish music throughout the year.
