Eight of the best jazz musicians from around the world are coming to Grand Rapids. They're coming to the Royce Auditorium stage on May 4 for a great concert with music of Miles Davis as well as their own compositions.

Soulful Grammy award winning folk singer / songwriter Marc Cohn will bring his beautiful mucsic to Royce Auditorium and St. Cecilia Music Center this Thursday night, April 13 at 7:30. It's going to be a great night.

Country music comes to St. Cecilia Music Center this Thursday night with rising star Nashville singer Margo Price. Margo Price has been taking the country music scene by storm with her debut album “Midwest Farmer’s Daughter.” As a matter of fact, in March  Price became the winner of the 2017 American Music Prize ($25,000) that recognizes the year's best debut album. It's going to be an amazing time in Grand Rapids when thirteen year old world-class jazz artist Joey Alexander makes his debut appearance at St. Cecilia Music Center on Thursday, March 23, 2017 at 7:30 p.m. I did say he is thirteen. Oh, by the way, he's already been nominated for a Grammy.

St. Cecilia Music Center (SCMC) brings the Grammy Award Winning Los Lonely Boys to St. Cecilia Music Center on Tuesday, March 14th. Los Lonely Boys, who dub their music “Texican Rock and Roll”, are three brothers with a unique mix of bluesy rock ’n’ roll and rootsy brown-eyed soul.

Music hasn't been a strength of ArtPrize, but it is slowly becoming a bigger part of the event and the music featured is getting better. This year, there are over 50 musical entries in the Blue Bridge Music Festival. Listen to some of the best.

Today, ArtPrize announced they are extending artist registration for ArtPrize Eight by one week after St. Cecilia Music Center pulled out of this year's competition. The new artist registration deadline is June 9 at 5PM. Connections are extended through June 23 at 5PM.

On Thursday, April 21 at 7:30 pm the audience at St. Cecilia Music Center will witness one of the most influential jazz drummers of the 20th Century, Jack DeJohnette in concert with Saxophonist Ravi Coltrane (son of Jazz legend John Coltrane and Alice Coltrane) and Electric Bassist Matt Garrison (son of bassist of the classic Coltrane quartet Jimmy Garrison).

Great Jazz continues in Grand Rapids, and March 10, 2016, is the night Grand Rapids will hear the newest star, dynamic young French Jazz Vocalist Cyrille Aimée with a night of Gypsy Jazz at the St. Cecilia Music Center. She is certainly on a roll, as her latest album, "Let's Get Lost" recently hit #1 on the Jazz Charts.

Another exciting concert for Grand Rapids. Joshua Davis, the Michigan finalist from “The Voice”, is in concert at a benefit for St. Cecilia Music Center this Sunday, October 4th. The benefit concert will help raise funds to support St. Cecilia as the official ArtPrize music hub. Opening acts for the benefit concert include local folk rock veterans Troll for Trout and bluegrass favorites Fauxgrass Quartet.
