Every year, Andy Rent goes out on the road to do his show live from the Family Fare on Lake Michigan Drive for Fat Tuesday! This year was no different and Andy had a great time hanging out, eating paczki, and enjoying all things Fat Tuesday. Check out some photos from the fun after the jump!

Wanted to make sure you're aware of the voluntary recall from Spartan Stores, Family Fare and D&W Fresh Markets. I'm proud to say that the Townsquare Media Grilling Team took 3rd place in the cookoff last night. Media teams from radio and television stations competed at the Knapp's Crossing D&W Fresh Market.  We had a ball.  Each team was given a bag of food, the same for each, and you had to create a dish in 30 minutes.  Five professional chefs from area cooking schools and restaurants were the judges. 

The final tally is in, and with your help,  WZZM 13, Spartan Stores and The River 100.5, collected nearly 300,000 pounds of food through the Food for Families Campaign this summer.  All of us at The River 100.5, Townsquare Media, were really proud to team up with Spartan Stores and TV 13 for the first time this year.  We're looking forward to a long relationship.

Your donation to Food for Families makes a big difference in your community! Local food pantries are often inundated during the holiday season because people are in the spirit of giving. But the giving slows dramatically during the summer months. That's unfortunate because experts know... hunger doesn't take a summer vacation.
