Artists and venues have begun connecting for ArtPrize Eight in Grand Rapids.
Artist registration will continue through June 2 and the artist/venue connection period lasts through June 16, but we already have an early look at what to expect at ArtPrize.
Pamela Alderman's "Hometown Hero" honors the memory of Army Spc. Eric T. Burri. Burri was 21 years old when he gave his life in 2005 while serving in Bagdad.
Visitors to the ArtPrize Seven entry are invited to interact by writing the name of their personal hero on the flag.

The ArtPrize entry helps to educate and raise awareness of the problem of human trafficking through multiple experiences inside of a 40-foot storage container.
