I LOVE this city! Saturday night in downtown Grand Rapids can have a Big City feel and a Big City look, without all the traffic, crime and parking issues;) I was downtown having dinner this past Saturday night and afterward decided to take a stroll through Rosa Parks Circle
Last night I attended a sneak peek for the WZZM 13 "Conversation Couch." What is a Conversation Couch, you may ask? Here's a little preview about what one might do on the WZZM 13 Conversation Couch. Watch me do it. Then
Thank you to Lieutenant General Tom Plewes for taking time out of his very busy life to talk with me about 9/11. Lieutenant Plewes is a 9/11 survivor who was the Pentagon on September 11, 2001. He talks about the vivid images that will stay with him forever, what 9/11 means to him and some of the other survivors, and what it felt and looked like being in the Pentagon when that third plane hit! Lieutenant Plewes was very generous with not only his time but with his raw honesty in sharing memories from that day
The headline caught my eye but the story is facinating to read. To see the changing face of American marriage, divorce and baby making is pretty interesting to read. This is a first-of-its-kind analysis by the Census Bureau. The study found that people are waiting longer before marrying for the first time. The percentage of women who wed as teenagers has dropped and lots of guys are postponing marriage past their prime college-age years.
Yeah the economy still feels like it's tanking, if you talk to the circle of friends I travel in. But there is good news for those who have some extra dollars and a dream of being a proud home owner. If you happen to stumble upon a bank-owned property in Michigan, you're going to be paying a lot less than you would have for a traditional property.
Proud of Michigan and the great things we have to offer, how about casting a vote for the beauty of Sleeping Bear Dunes. ABC's Good Morning America is searching for the most beautiful places in America
Always good to see when a local girl makes good! This North Rockford Middle School student is already making us proud. She has qualified on her Suzuki for one of the most prestigious amateur motocross competitions in the world
Not sure there's anything big in it for you; I guess it all depends on how you think. Campers in Michigan campgrounds are being urged to save energy and to be environmentally friendly when camping in Michigan Parks
I know you thought this was a National Enquirer headline, right? Well, it's not. It's real, And it's right here in Rockford, Michigan. Okay the dog still sleeps in the bed, but the guy wears shoes to bed now
This little boy said he only wanted to visit his father. Kind of makes you ask the question, "What's going on in this family that would cause this little boy to want to see his dad so badly that he decided to drive himself
