It was a banner year for Heart of West Michigan United Way's campaign to Stuff the Bus! The Stuff the Bus project is a way to help students in need have the school supplies they might not be able to buy, and this year was super successful.

Every fall, Heart of West Michigan United Way collects elementary school supplies for children in the Schools of Hope Reading Program of Grand Rapids Public Schools, to make sure the students are starting the school year ready to learn. In 2015, 11,596 items with a total value of $15,765 were collected! So, are you ready to do it again? Let's do it!

These are proud and exciting moments for the Grand Rapids Public Schools Museum School. They have been named one of the 50 finalists in the XQ Super School Project.

A Grand Rapids' educational program is getting national recognition. Tech Insider has named Grand Rapids Public School's Zoo School at John Ball Zoo one of the 14 most innovative in the country, MLive Reports.

During the school year, thousands of Grand Rapids Public School students are provided with free meals. Meals they might not have if it weren't for the school progam.  But, what happens when school is out for the summer? Do they go hungry? Not to worry, its handled.

The Michigan Department of Education released the graduation rates for the 2014-2015 school year today. For the fourth consecutive year, Grand Rapids Public Schools saw a significant increase districtwide with graduate rates increasing by more than 6% compared to last year.
