Gilda's Club Grand Rapids, the free cancer support organization, needs your help! They are recruiting volunteers for this year’s West Side Walk for Gilda’s!

It's hard to believe, but LaughFest is set to begin their sixth year March 10-20, 2016. Six years of offering the best in "laughs" to support the free cancer support group, Gilda's Club here in Grand Rapids. This next LaughFest is going to be a doozy!

With recent business growth and new development on Grand Rapids’ West Side, this seems like the perfect time to celebrate. So, Gilda’s Club Grand Rapids is hosting an inaugural walk and block party this Saturday, October 3, to celebrate positive changes and create a renewed sense of community in the neighborhood.

For the first time since the doors opened at Gilda’s Club Grand Rapids and Gilda’s Club Metro Detroit, both organizations will come together to Zumba® along with supporters of both cancer support organizations. Though this is the 3rd Annual ZUMBATHON, it’s the first time both organizations will benefit from the event, as the "meet in the middle".  It takes place on Saturday, May 3rd at t

Gilda’s LaughFest, the nation’s only community-wide festival of laughter, is recruiting talent to participate in free community showcases during LaughFest 2014. Individuals of all ages, and groups of any size, are encouraged to showcase their talents during Gilda’s LaughFest. Applications are being accepted online through December 1 at www.laughfestgr.org.

As the saying goes, “laughter is good medicine” and Michigan Blood, in partnership with Gilda’s Club Grand Rapids, Gilda’s LaughFest, Blue Care Network of Michigan, and The Wege Foundation, are out to prove it.
