Grand Rapids Restaurant Week Has Moved From November To August

Grand Rapids Restaurant Week has moved from November to August!  I like that!  The weather is still warm, it's a nice break right before the kids go back to school.  November always seemed to be a bit busy what with Thanksgiving and the December holidays.  Experience Grand Rapids VP of Marketing Janet Korn said that last year's Restaurant Week generated between $500,000 and $700,000 in revenue for the 37 downtown restaurants that participated.

The organizers of Restuarant Week Grand Rapids are trying to attract more people from outside of the immediate Grand Rapids area.

What do you do with all Those Easter Eggs? Deviled Eggs!

Okay, it's Monday, Easter was yesterday, and you probably have a dozen or so colored eggs around.  You don't want them to go to waste.  And, just eating a hard-boiled egg is boring.

So why not make one of my favorite foods, deviled eggs?  Now you're talking.

We all have our special recipe for deviled eggs, but I thought I'd share two of my favorites.

How And Where You Can Save Money In Grand Rapids On Your Dog & Cat Food[video]

At a time when you and I are trying to save money on our pet food I thought it would be a good idea to figure out a way to eliminate waste.  Dog and cat food can be really, really cheap or very, very expensive but is price everything?  I have learned that it is not!   What really matters is the food that  goes inside the can or into the bag

Guilt-Free Holiday Eating

The food just keeps building up during the holidays.  There are cookies, candy, cakes, pies, muffins.....notice I'm only going for health foods here.....not to mention all of the dips and cheeses, snacks, ice cream.  And, that's before the turkey, ham, standing rib, stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy and everything that goes with dinner.

Oh, boy, I think I'm going to explode!
