feeding america of west michigan

The year 2020 was tough on so many people and businesses. It's nice to have a story about one local business who was able to not only survive during the COVID-19 pandemic, but also go out of their way to help not one -- but three -- west Michigan food pantries.

Going hungry in this country is not an option.  It should never happen.  But, alas, it does, and the hunger problem seems to be growing worse. Here in West Michigan, there are families that don't have the means, and have to do without.   Your heart breaks when you know that men, women and children won't have enough food.

In December a number of local celebrities showed up at the Cascade Meijer to give some disadvantaged kids a shopping spree courtesy of Meijer.  I've been blessed to be a part of this wonderful event for the past 4 or 5 years.  Meijer gave all these kids and their families a Christmas this year...
