Runners and walkers have a great incentive to get out and get active Saturday, May 20. It's the annual Nana's Run, a 5k run/walk for the fight against ALS, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (Lou Gehrig’s disease).
There were so many videos on my Facebook news feed about the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge that I knew it would come to me at some point! Wendy Reed, who works on Channel 95.7 on weekdays and also handles behind-the-scenes stuff for 100.5 The River, nominated me.
Some water, some ice, and a few wet clothes have proven to be an effective way to raise money to fight Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). I was happy to take my turn today and accept the Ice Bucket Challenge.
