This Saturday, the Monroe Center Chalk Flood and Street Fair will celebrate the return of ArtPrize.
All are invited to attend and create works of their own this weekend in downtown Grand Rapids.
Earlier this year, we learned that there would be one entry in the Grand River at ArtPrize Seven. Jane Cassidy’s “Brumaire is the color”, an audio/visual installation, was set to be installed on the underside of the Pearl Street Bridge.
Cassidy has had to withdraw from ArtPrize after the installation proved to be too difficult to get installed.
The ArtPrize HUB at 41 Sheldon Blvd is ArtPrize headquarters. The HUB will host talks, events, retail sales and last year's winner "Intersections".
The grand opening of The HUB is Saturday, September 19, from 9AM - Noon.
