Happy Memorial Day!

Hopefully it's a pretty good weather day.  But, it's going to be HOT and HUMID!  Be careful, hydrate a lot, and, use plenty of sunscreen!

A couple of week ago I wrote a blog about sunscreen, and how nothing can really be "waterproof" or "sweatproof" as some claim.

But I just wanted to remind you to protect yourself, and your children.

Here are some things to look for in a sunscreen:

Broad Spectrum - products labeled with "broad spectrum" to protect against both ultraviolet A and B rays.

Ingredients - You want zinc and titanium dioxide to be included in the ingredient list.

Pure - Doctors caution against using sunscreens with colors and fragrances, especially for kids, because some of the essential oils used to scent and color sunscreen are not safe for kids or babies.

and...Reapply - reapply sunscreen every two hours, no matter what the bottle says.

Hope you have a great Memorial Day!
