It's one thing to have a business idea.

It's another thing to be able to successfully pitch that idea in 2 minutes or less...the time it takes to ride an elevator.

The e-merge Elevator Pitch Competition is November 6 in Muskegon.

High schools students, college students, and the general public will all compete for a chance at cash prizes and a meeting with investors.

All competitors will get 2 minutes to pitch their business idea. No props allowed. Just like a chance meeting in an elevator.

A panel of judges will decide the winners.

High school and college students will compete for cash prizes of $1,000, $750, and $500. The general public will earn prizes for the top 3 finishers with the top finisher earning a visit with investors.

The e-merge Elevator Pitch Competition takes place at the Baker College auditorium in Muskegon.

Student pitches start at 4:00pm. General public pitches start at 6:30pm.
