One look at Rowdy and you will understand that this is one cat who does not live up to his name.

Adopt Rowdy from Crash's Landing.

Crash's Landing is a non-profit, no-kill cat rescue center.  Since opening in Grand Rapids in 2002, Crash's Landing has helped more than 2,500 cats. But there is still work to be done.

Every Friday on 100.5 The River is Purrrfect Friday, where we feature a cat from Crash's Landing that needs a home.

This week, we're spotlighting Rowdy.

Rowdy was brought into Focus on Ferals in March for evaluation and neutering. He was not happy. He was also not pleased with being corralled into a travel carrier when it was time to go to Crash's Landing.

Who can blame him?

So Rowdy earned his name and was named after the character Rowdy Yates, played by Clint Eastwood, from the classic Rawhide television show.

Upon arrival at Crash's Landing on March 28, Rowdy was treated for a long list of ailments including a previously broken tail tip, a missing canine tooth and a bite wound on his chest. He was also filthy and in need of a dental cleaning.

Today, Rowdy is healthy and a bit shy. Rowdy is not rowdy at all! He would love some extra attention to help him come out of his shell.

Please adopt Rowdy!
