Stars Unite for Charity Remake of Beach Boys’ ‘God Only Knows’ [Video]

The video features Lorde in angel wings, Elton John covered in butterflies, and Stevie Wonder surrounded by diamonds and it's pretty spectacular. More than 20 superstars from the music world came together with the BBC for a remake of the Beach Boys' hit, "God Only Knows," and original Beach Boy Brian Wilson got in on the action, too.

In addition to Sir Elton and Lorde Lorde, Wilson is joined tons of other musicians. One Direction, Brian May of Queen, Kylie Miniogue, Dave Grohl, Stevie Wonder. Chris Martin, Pharrell Williams, Chrissie Hynde, Florence Welch and others also join in. And the Tees Valley Youth Choir and 80-piece BBC Concert Orchestra tie the whole thing together.

The video was filmed in London's Alexandra Palace Theatre, which was home to the first BBC broadcast nearly 100 years ago.

The single is available for download, with proceeds going to the BBC's Children in Need charity, and is helping launch the BBC's new music initiative, BBC Music.
