Last year, the Standale Summer Concert Series brought hundreds to Walker Community Park for free live music and kids activities.

The concert series is returning this summer and the lineup has been announced.

The 2013 concert series brought over 300 area residents to the Walker Community Park at 700 Cummings Avenue.

Concerts are from 7:00-9:00PM. All are welcome to bring blankets and lawn chairs to the show. The series also features food vendors, kid's face painting, a children's coloring contest, and appearances by Chowie, the Chow Hound mascot.

Here's this year's lineup:

  • June 19 – The Adams Family (50/60's Music)
  • July 10 – Deep Greens & Blues (Indie Folk Rock)
  • July 24 – FreeHand (40′s Music)
  • August 14 – Boogie Woogie Babies (Big Band)
  • August 28 – The Lazy Blue Tunas (50-80's Cover Band)

Information on rain cancellations can be found here.

During the opening concert on June 19 the Community Development Department will host a Plan the Community Park session from 6:30-8:00 p.m. Residents are encouraged to provide feedback and ideas about new park equipment, park features, and pedestrian and handicap accessibility for the Walker Community Park.

The series is presented by the Walker/Standale Downtown Development Authority.
