We're all invited to one of the best wine and beer tastings of the year at St. Cecilia Music Center this Friday, March 28 starting at 5:30 p.m.

St. Cecilia Music Center in 2014 is celebrating their 130 year history as the oldest continually thriving Arts Organization in West Michigan. The evening will take place in the elegant atmosphere of St. Cecilia Music Center featuring the luxurious tastes of Martha’s Vineyard’s 100 highly rated wines from well-known and boutique wineries throughout the world and craft beer, ales, and local ciders from small micro producers in West Michigan, Michigan, throughout the U.S. and England.

The wines to be tasted will be from a wide range of price points including high-end wine selections. Some of the wines to be featured are specific to the event and are only available through special order at the event.

The Tasting event will also include hearty hors d’oeuvres from Catering by Martha’s and Nantucket Baking Company, and live music by Shimmie Pearl.

Wineries & Breweries to be showcased include: Wineries: Marimar Estate, Seven Hills, Hesketh, Wilson Napa Valley, Panther Creek, John Duval, Elhers, Chateau Labegorce, Hoppes, Paul Hobbs, Beaux Freres, Bramare Marchiori, Arbios, Shafer, Tenuta, Bressler, Ridge, Quintessa, Kobalt, Davis Bynum, Owen Roe, Copain, Herman Story and and many more. Breweries: New Holland, Founders, Bell’s, Shorts, Epic, Vandermill (ciders), Samuel Smith, Lindeman’s, Green’s, Greenflash, Lagunitas, Arcadia.

In addition to tasting wine and food, there will be a silent auction with items featuring dining, entertainment, vacation packages, and specialty wines donated by Martha’s Vineyard and Grand Rapids wine collectors. Trips to Napa and Sonoma are some of the key auction items, as well as trips to Chicago and Detroit (including Detroit Tiger tickets), Saugatuck and Holland. Trips include dining, wine, and entertainment along with accommodations. Local entertainment packages include Broadway Grand Rapids, Grand Rapids Ballet, Opera Grand Rapdis, Civic Theatre, Circle Theatre, and Actor's Theatre. Restaurants packages to be auctioned include Bonefish Grill, Grove, Bistro Bella Vita and Green Well, Cult Pizza, Bartertown Diner, One Trick Pony and the new Palace of India to name a few.

Everything happens at St. Cecilia Music Center, 24 Ransom NE, Downtown Grand Rapids. The cost is only $35 per person.
