ArtPrize 2014 is now in our rear view mirror. Another successful year with the world's largest art competition. Congratulations to the winners, announced Friday evening, in all the visual arts.  However, there also was a music component of ArtPrize, sponsored in part by St. Celilia Music Center, and I offer a large CONGRATULATIONS to those music winners. Two thousand dollars in cash prize plus $1,000 of recording time at Mackinaw Harvest Studios was awarded to bands and individuals in five different music categories including classical, folk/country, rock/blues, jazz and pop/electronic. The winners were determined by the top votes cast for music entries as calculated by the ArtPrize website voting system.
