Spectacular Neighborhood Light Displays In West Michigan
It’s always fun, this time of year, to drive around and look at all of the Christmas lights. There are some pretty good displays here in Grand Rapids and West Michigan.
Commercially, there’s “Nite Lights” at 5th/3rd Ball Park this year which is spectacular, and 100.5 The River is proud to co-sponsor.
But, what about local homes and neighborhoods? Are there any good ones?
I have seen some nice ones, a good showing with lots of lights and characters, but for something high-tech for a homeowner and neighborhood, it looks like Brad Boyink of Spring Lake might just be the winner, again.
Boyink told The Grand Rapids Press his Holiday Road Lights show is one of the largest neighborhood computerized displays in the country. Boyink uses 64 control computers for the show.
There is no cost involved, he show is free. However, donations are accepted. All proceeds will be donated to the Special Olympics.
Over the past five years, Boyink has raised about $140,000 for local charities.
Hey, everyone gets a candy cane when you visit.
To find the location I’ve included his Facebook page link.
