I know I'm one-day late with this, but here is a heart warming, tear-jerking story for Veterans Day that will give you all the hugs you want.Iowa National Guard Sergeant John Vorrath had been deployed to the Middle East. His wife went into labor and was about to have the baby when Sergeant Vorrath was hooked up via FaceTime to watch the birth.  How thrilling.

The good news here is he learned during the labor that he would be allowed to go home. Following the birth,he jumped onto a plane and flew 22 hours to surprise his wife, 2-year-old son and new daughter in Ames, Iowa.

No one knew that he would be able to come home. So sweet!

Sergeant Vorrath was able to spend a week at home before returning for duty.
