Sofie the dog came calling today.

Sofie visited with Andy Rent as he talked about him on his Andy in the Morning show for Wet Nose Wednesday.

Tammy, from the Humane Society of West Michigan, brought Sofie into the studios.

Sofie is a 5-year old Beagle Mix that came to the Humane Society as a Rescue Wagon transfer. She is Heart-Worm positive, has been treated, but will require 6 months of heartworm preventive medication that the adoptive person/family will have to provide. The good news is the Humane Society of West Michigan will that match with 6 months medication as well.

Sofie needs a good, loving home. Sofie is full of love and looking for her forever home. She loves to play and be around people. She would make any home a wonderful addition.

According to the American Kennel Club, Beagles are loving and lovable, happy, easygoing, and companionable. Good nutrition for Beagles is very important from puppyhood to their  senior years. They are very active and energetic and need plenty of exercise.

Holly, from the Bissell Pet Foundation visited as well, and talked about the special Adopt-A-Pet Saturday, this Saturday, May 7. Bissell will cover the cost of adoption at 23 shelters throughout the state, so, this Saturday at the Humane Society, all dogs and cats will be FREE! All the adopter must do is pay for a license, usually around $12.
