Cricket the dog came calling today.

Cricket visited with Andy Rent as he talked about him on his Andy in the Morning show for Wet Nose Wednesday.

Heather, from the Humane Society of West Michigan, brought Cricket into the studios.

Cricket is a 4-year old Staffordshire Terrier-mix, that needs a good, loving home. She is very loving. Cricket loves to be with people and is great other dogs. Cricket would fit well in a home with another dog, or, by herself. Heather did say that she is heart-worm positive and is undergoing treatment.

According to the American Kennel Club, the Am Staf will enjoy daily exercise and is adaptable to almost anything you want to do to provide this. They are keenly aware of their surroundings, up for anything, and lovable “personality dogs” around the house. Am Staffs are highly trainable, too.

Heather mentioned the success of their Home for the Holidays promotion this past weekend. 73 animals were adopted, dogs, cats and even a bunny!

The Humane Society still has their cat special running through the end of December. It's an "name your own price" adoption special.

You can get all the information on the Humane Society website or call (616) 453-8900.
