How does that sound to you? Lots of states are tossing around that idea. Illinois, New York and Washington, D.C. are already moving ahead with the plan to allow people to purchase their lottery tickets online! It's all about convenience, right? Not necessarily.

For party stores like Party World on Alpine NW, who is known for for its lucky lottery tickets, it's not such good news. People stop by the store to pick up their tickets and they buy other stuff too. The online ticket sales are justmore competititon for the local businesses.

Personally, I'm wondering who will get the money now for selling the winning lottery ticket. In the past the state paid the store a premium.  So, now who gets that premium or does it just stay in the state's pocket.  Guess it's another way for the state to rake in more money and payout less.
