Sick of Exercise? Try Prancercise!
If you’re sick of gyms, structured workout routines or classes, maybe Prancercise is for you!
In fact, I’m pretty sure a dude I saw in downtown GR on Wednesday was doing it. He probably had no idea there was a name for it, but he definitely had some moves.
From their website:
“Prancercise® is defined as: A springy, rhythmic way of moving forward, similar to a horse’s gait and ideally induced by elation. This form of movement, along with dietary and spiritual principles can create the most satisfying, holistic and successful fitness program one could hope to experience.”
The idea behind Prancercise is to “imagine ourselves as a beautiful animal that’s a symbol of beauty, strength and endurance while we’re exercising in order to free our minds of any self image that may be less appealing…”
I’m more a weight lifting and cardio sort of guy. Plus with my “zero rhythm” problem, I’d look more like a guy who just walked through a spider web or stuck his finger into an electrical outlet. Anyway, check out the video…
