Starting out as a weatherman/TV-Radio host for TV8 in the 70′s, Andy also played “Captain Woody” on the TV8 afternoon kids show, and probably is the most recognized personality in the West Michigan area having been on radio and TV for the better part of three decades.

I think we have all followed the "tanning Mom" story. It has upset a lot of mothers, tanning salon owners and just about anyone with a central nervous system and a basic sense of moral decency or sanity.
When I first saw the story on national TV I jumped on it and we talked about it on my show "Mornings with Andy" on 100.5 The River. The comments were all negative!
It's because she, Patricia Krentcil allegedly took her five-year-old daughter to a tanning salon to get a bit of bronzing done.

Gas Prices in West Michigan are Coming Down
What's going on here? Is this a mirage? West Michigan gas prices are averaging $3.70 to start the week, a nearly 20-cent drop from a week ago.
The "so-called" experts were predicting doom-and-gloom with prices possibly hitting $5 a gallon by summer. Well, not so. In fact, this represents a 45-cent drop from a year ago. Gas was $3.51 at some stations in Cedar Springs and Sparta on this morning, according to GrandRapidsGasPrices.com.
Meijer Gardens Summer Concert Series Tickets On Sale To General Public
Tickets for Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture 10th annual Outdoor Summer Concert Series went on sale to the public Saturday at 9 a.m., and are they going fast.
Meijer Gardens members got first crack in April, and bought out several shows, but with an expanded concert series, you still have plenty of shows to see.
Grand Rapids Symphony Presents Season Finale Concert
The Grand Rapids Symphony closes it 82nd Season with a collaborative collage concert.
This weekend, at 8 pm, Friday, May 18 and Saturday, May 19, David Lockington will lead two performances of "Heavens Above, Earth Below," along with combining dances of the Grand Rapids Ballet Company, two world premieres - one a tribute to former First Lady Betty Ford - and the epic "Alpine Symphony."
St. Cecilia Music Center is Musical ArtPrize Exhibition Center
St. Cecilia Music Center announced that they will continue, and enhance their role of music in ArtPrize 2012.
New this year will be five cash prizes given in five different musical genres. St. Cecilia Music Center will be presenting five $2,000 awards, plus prize packages, in the categories of pop/electronic, rock/blues, folk/country, jazz and classical. The winners will be chosen by the popular vote on the ArtPrize website.
