There are some great people in this world, and this story is about two of them, Allie and Brayden.

For Allie, being a teenage girl is hard enough, but imagine being a teenage girl fighting brain cancer. That takes a level of strength and bravery most adults don't have. Now imagine being a teenage girl fighting cancer, losing all your hair, and trying to find the courage to go to the homecoming dance without feeling self conscious. That's what Allie Allen, a junior at Collierville High School in Collierville, Tennessee, has been dealing with. Luckily, she has a good friend like Brayden Carpenter.

Brayden is one special guy. He is a senior, has been friends with Allie since elementary school, and he has been by her side since the day she was diagnosed. On the day she had to shave her head, he shaved his. Not only that, but they went to homecoming together and had a blast.

In an interview with the Today show, Brayden explained his decision to shave his head: "I figured if she's not going to have hair, neither should I. She still looked beautiful and it didn't matter if she had hair or not. It's just hair. It grows back."

In the same interview, Allie revealed, "It was so sweet of him. He really didn't have to do that, even though a part of me felt relieved that I wasn't going to be the only bald person at the dance."

Who says teens today are selfie obsessed and only thinking of themselves? These kids are pretty great.
