September is Suicide Prevention and Awareness Month and i understand is a local non-profit organization that helps support those who have lost a loved one to suicide. They are also trying to help eliminate the stigma and judgment that goes with mental illness and suicide. So today during lunch time, they held their first Napportunity at Rosa Park Circle!

They teamed up with Comfort Research, a West Michigan company that makes the Big Joe bean bags and other cool styles of seats, for this free event.

Anyone who wanted to come “nap” during their lunch, a cool spot, with relaxing music (when I was there, a couple of guys from The Verve Pipe were there, so they were playing their music) was invited to stop by and help raise money. Comfort Research donated $10 to i Understand to support educational events, care packages and other opportunities for the non-profit.

The event ran from 11 am – 1 pm, and as you can see, plenty of people stopped by for a quick rest.
