Tulip Time is months away, but Holland is already preparing.

See how the City of Holland Parks and Recreation Department manages to plant seven miles of tulip lanes filled with over 250,000 tulip bulbs.

Tulip Time is set for May 7 - 14 in 2016. It is one of the great West Michigan traditions and a sure sign of spring. Tulip Time is not only a local favorite, but it has been named one of the top flower festivals in the world.

Preparation for the festival is not easy, but it is made much quicker by the specialized machine used to plant thousands of bulbs.
