Sandy the dog came calling today.

Sandy visited with Andy Rent as he talked about him on his Andy in the Morning show for Wet Nose Wednesday.

Jen, from the Humane Society of West Michigan, brought Sandy  into the studios.

Sandy is a 1-year old American Staffordshire Terrier, that needs a good, loving home. Sandy has been neutered, had all her vaccinations, is micro chipped, and almost ready to find a new home. Jen mentioned that she has tested heart-worm positive and is being treated now. Sandy should be ready for adoption very soon.

According to the American Kennel Club, the Staffordshire Terrier is a confident, good-natured and smart dog. They enjoy daily exercise and is adaptable to almost anything you want to do to provide this.

Jen mentioned that they still have their adoption specials going on. All dogs, 1-year and older, to 7-years of age, are only $75, with dogs older than seven, free since they qualify for the senior paws club. Cats are also part of the specials. All cats, not including kittens, are Name Your Own Price.

You can get all the information on the Humane Society website or call (616) 453-8900.
