Sam the cat, came calling today.

Sam visited with Andy Rent as he talked about him on his Andy in the Morning show for Wet Nose Wednesday.

Brooke, from the Humane Society of West Michigan, brought Sam into the studios.

Sam is a 3-month old American shorthair cat, that needs a good, loving home. Sam has been neutered, had all her vaccinations, is micro chipped, and ready to find a new home.

According to the Cat Fanciers Association, if you're looking for a cat that will be a gentle companion, a playmate for your children, and a full-fledged member of the family, look no further than the American Shorthair. This breed is known for its longevity, robust health, good looks, sweet personality, and amiability with children, dogs, and other pets.

Brooke mentioned the need for pet food and supplies at the Humane Society of West Michigan. They are totally donor funded and are hoping some generous donors will join Spartan-Nash to fill their need. This week at all Family Fare, D&W and Forest Hills Foods stores, you can donate food, pet supplies and pet toys through Saturday the 31st. So, while you're shopping, add a little extra to your cart to donate to the Humane Society.

Also, Brooke mentioned that tomorrow, Thursday, October 29, is UBER day at the Humane Society. They have teamed up with UBER to bring kittens to your work. Download the UBER app, if you don't already have it, and help the Humane Society. Use the "kitten" icon, order a UBER car for just $30, and they will visit your workplace and bring kittens! You'll have them to enjoy for 15 or so minutes. What fun! And, the entire $30 fee will be donated to the Humane Society.

You can get all the information on the Humane Society website or call (616) 453-8900.
