Sam Smith is Well and Getting Back on the Road [Video]

Sam Smith sure gave fans a scare when he canceled a slew of dates to have throat surgery -- but after weeks of vocal rest, he says he can talk again.

Even better, he's ready to get back in front of the microphone, and has re-scheduled the tour dates he was forced to axe earlier this spring. Sam says, "I’m unbelievably excited to get back onstage and perform for you all again, and I promise it will be so much better than it would have been before when my voice was damaged. The past few months have been incredibly difficult, but the support, love and patience my fans have shown me is absolutely unreal. I am so grateful to every one of you. I can’t wait to see you all."

Smith is slated to kick off a North American tour in Louisville, Kentucky on July 17th. Here's hoping he'll make it to Grand Rapids soon.
