Owned and operated by the YMCA Service Club, the Run thru the Rapids benefits the YMCA Camp Manitou-lin Scholarship Fund, which helps send children to summer camp and reduces tuition costs for all young campers.

Sponsored by the Bank of Holland and other local businesses, the race begins at 9 a.m. at the downtown David D. Hunting YMCA. Race information, sign-up, and race map is available HERE on our link.

The Metro Health Grand Rapids Marathon,Sunday, October 19, is a group of races designed by runners for runners. The Marathon also includes the Foster Swift Half Marathon, and Pepsi Max Marathon Relay.

Founded in 2004, the GRM delivers a fun, highly personal, authentic race experience, particularly for runners who value a well-organized experience over the chaotic, crowded fields of “big city” races through “concrete canyons”.

Even though on-line registration has closed, anyone still wishing to run may sign up at the race site on Sunday.
