Roxie the dog came calling today.

Roxie visited with Andy Rent as he talked about him on his Andy in the Morning show for Wet Nose Wednesday.

Audrey, from the Humane Society of West Michigan, brought Roxie into the studios.

Roxie is a 3-year old Husky/Shepard mix that needs a good, loving home. Roxie is full of love and energy. She loves to play and be around people. She would make any home a wonderful addition.

Sarasotadog.com says the Shepherd Husky is a mix of two breeds: The German Shepherd and the Siberian Husky.  Most Shepherd Husky owners consider this breed to be the best of both worlds. Shepherd Huskies are diligent working dogs who are eager to please.  Shepherd Huskies are highly intelligent (their “shepherd” half, the German Shepherd, was ranked the third most intelligent dog breed in the world!) and they adapt quickly to just about any situation.  Equally good as a service dog or a family pet.

Audrey reminded us that the month of November is "cat month." All cats, 5-months and older are FREE. The fee is waived, so it might be the perfect time to add a cat to the household.

Also, Audrey said don't forget the Humane Society of West Michigan with your holiday giving with either a gift of money or in-kind gift of toys, food, etc. Their needs are posted on their website.

You can get all the information on the Humane Society website or call (616) 453-8900.
