Rosie the dog came calling today.

Rosie visited with Andy Rent as he talked about him on his Andy in the Morning show for Wet Nose Wednesday.

Brooke, from the Humane Society of West Michigan, brought Rosie into the studios.

Rosie is a 5-year old Staffordshire Terrier-mix, that needs a good, loving home. Having been surrendered by her owner, she is very laid back and loving. Rosie loves to be with people but isn't great with other dogs. Rosie would best go to a person/family as the only dog.

According to the American Kennel Club, the Am Staf will enjoy daily exercise and is adaptable to almost anything you want to do to provide this. They are keenly aware of their surroundings, up for anything, and lovable “personality dogs” around the house. Am Staffs are highly trainable, too.

Brooke reminded us of their all dogs, cats and small critters specials. They are being offered at a greatly reduced price in hopes that they find a good home. Dogs 1-year and up are only $75, with cats and small critters either a small fee or free. By the way, all Senior Paws members, pets 7-years of age and older, are free. Be sure to stop by the Humane Society of West Michigan to find your new 'family member!'

You can get all the information on the Humane Society website or call (616) 453-8900.
