Rockford Sweetheart Splash Pictorial History

There have been lots of great moments in the 15 year history of the Rockford Sweetheart Splash. I've been there to witness many of them. Sam proposing to Alicia is one of those special moments. Imagine agreeing to marry a guy and then taking a dip into the 32 degree Rogue River. No, thanks.

At least that's what I said until 2009  when I took the plunge  myself.  the water is colder than I imagined.  But it was worth it after Rockford donated $1,300 to the North Kent Service Center after I went in.

The annual event is Saturday, February 12 at 1PM at the dam in Rockford.  Once again, it's a benefit for the North Kent Service Center.  See you there.  Bring some warm clothes.
